An informal artist talk series in collaboration with Eyelevel Artist-Run Centre and NSCAD Art History Grads. Featuring research talks by: Emma Allain Emma Allain is a a Halifax-based interdisciplinary artist. Originally from the suburbs of Toronto, in 2012 she earned a BDes from the joint program in graphic design at York University and Sheridan College (YSDN). She has since worked as an industry designer and freelance book designer. Emma has a passion for the physical form of books and bookbinding and is enrolled in NSCAD University's MFA program where she is currently working with themes of distance, separation, and loss through printed matter, book works, installation, and sound. Anna Taylor Anna Taylor is a queer femme artist, crafter and activist from K'jipuktuk (Halifax). She holds a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Using embroidery and natural dyes as well as ceramic sculpture, Taylor creates playful works redefining the norms of sexual representation in th...
