Fan face-off part two: Chiefs vs Sundowns

In today's podcast we have part two of the fan face-off between Kaizer Chiefs fan Mkhuseli Ngcube and his opposite number from Mamelodi Sundowns, Sive Yekanye. We are one match away from the curtain falling down on the 2019-20 Absa Premiership season. The champions will be crowned on the final day of the season. We head to the finish line with Chiefs and Sundowns tied on 56 points. Amakhosi and Abafana Bes'tyle are hoping to be the first to get their hands on the R15m winner's cheque. Which coach will catch the bounty? Will Ernst Middendorp win his first ever league title in his coaching career? Pitso Mosimane is looking to take Sundowns to their third successive championship. He will become the first coach to win five league titles in the PSL era, and is now tied on four with Gordon Igesund, who won it with Manning Rangers, Orlando Pirates, Santos and Sundowns. The late Ted Dumitru won two each with Sundowns and Chiefs. Gavin Hunt won three with SuperSport and one with Bidvest Wits. Mosimane has hopes of handing the Brazilians their 10th title, La Decima, in the Premier Soccer League era. Can it not be Saturday already.

Geoffrey Toyana is ‘disappointed and disgusted’ by CSA president Chris Nenzani's comments

Today we shine the spotlight on Geoffrey Toyana, a top cricket coach who conducted a cleansweep in domestic cricket in 2017. On the back of the great work he did with Highveld Lions, the man was in line to graduate to Proteas coaching job. But Cricket South Africa appointed Barbadian Ottis Gibson. CSA president Chris Nenzani told set tongues wagging on Robert Marawa's Marawa Sports Worldwide that not appointing Toyana was a missed opportunity. Duh! Toyana joins me to discuss that and more around the shenanigans at Circus South Africa.

Lebogang Manyama's Comeback Season

Kaizer Chiefs held pole position in the Absa Premiership before the Premier Soccer League was suspended due to the coronavirus lockdown. Prior to the recess, Lebogang Manyama was the attacking midfielder that propelled AmaKhosi to the top of the log. His six goal contributions might not match Samir Nurkovic's (11) and Leonardo Castro's (nine) goal tallies but they have more often than not resulted in victories for the Glamour Boys.Such as when Chiefs faced Orlando Pirates in the second Soweto Derby of the season in February. In this interview, recording just prior to then, Manyama speaks to SportsLIVE about returning to South Africa from Turkey, what happened overseas and how he became the fulcrum of the biggest club in the country. Special thanks toUdoCarelse andJustus Kilian, who provided thestudiofor the interview with Lebogang Manyama, as well as talent manager Mpho Sekhoto.
