EIn this episode, I talk about why I decided to delete the Instagram App for 10 days straight. Living in 2019, we are addicted to social media whether we want to admit it or not. We live in a world where likes and comments are more popular than actual human communication and connection. Social media is slowly teaching us to compare our lives, instead of being grateful and appreciative of everything that we were already blessed with. We are meant to justBEsometimes... we don't always have to constantly be doing something just because society makes us feel lazy if we aren't. I am giving you permission to take a breather if you feel blocked or stuck my love. Especially for my babes who are content creators, online business owners, and Influencers. I know how hard it can be to rememberyour own voice when you are constantly watching other people and their work. We need to remember that we truly aren't meant to live with all this Wifi, blue light, and comparison online. We need to learnbalance. EYou may have heard a friend or co-worker say, "Oh poo - Mercury is about to retrograde again!" If you don't know anything about astrology, you may be a little confused as to what the heck they are talking about. This crazy phenomenon is one of the few that actually affects everyone in a pretty uniform way and its effects on all of us are very obvious. Mercury retrogrades about three to four times a year, for two to three weeks at a time. During these times we all experience problems arising in different areas, affecting some more than others. Problems with communication, travel, shipping, transportation, formal agreements, ect.. are all typical during this time. And even though we are experiencing these emotions, arguments, and events that are not so pleasant... should we really be blaming our reactions and emotions on this phenomenon? Or should we really be taking responsibility for our own actions? - because your ego loves attachment. It loves to justify and give excuses for your bad actions and habits, and you have to become so aware of when it happens and shift your state of focus. In this episode, I give you the real talk on your ego and how to control it during times like these - what Mercury Retrograde is, its role in our lives, and how to combat these crazy roarsof emotions. EAre you chasing fulfillment or happinessin your life? Happiness is a conditional and fleeting emotion. Meaning that we do not always experience it. Things, like buying yourself a new car, passing an exam you studied your booty off for, or finally attending that festival you've been dying to go to. As exciting and blissful as it is..happiness is also temporary. But fulfillment is when you contribute to the world by using the unique gifts that were given to you..like your way of speaking to people, your passion, creativity, sense of humor, ect.. when you use these things to help other humans in this world? ... that feeling is infiniteand never goes away.
