Spoon Editor Podcast: The Growing Yeast and Plants at Home Edition

It's a very specific cultural moment when a twitter thread about growing yeast goes viral. That's exactly what happened recently and so the Spoon editors talk about that and a few other stories on this week's edition of the Food Tech Show. Other stories discussed include how quarantine life may (or may not) have many of us putting our smart kitchen gadgets to work more and how we all felt inspired after hearing kitchen tech makers Scott Heimendinger and Larry Jordan took us into their workshops this past week to talk about their DIY tools and processes for making the next big kitchen gadget.

Spoon Editor Roundtable: We're All Eating Comfort Food Now

How has the coronavirus changed how you eat? For some of the Spoon team, it's meant more processed food. For others (i.e. Catherine), that means more cooking with fresh food. The Spoon team got together this week to talk about this and other things on our minds as we start to lose track of what day it as our stay at home orders enter their second month. As always, you can find more podcasts at www.thespoon.tech.

From his time as director of culinary research for three Michelin star restaurant Alinea to creating video game themed dinner nights at his own Seattle based restaurant "incubator" Addo, Chef Eric Rivera has a reputation for being innovative.
