Late Cinema Podcast
What would films be without music? Even silent films are, for the most part, accompanied by a melodic soundtrack. The interactions between scores and images are often difficult to define, but we can feel their power by simply sensing them. Charlie explores a sampling a lesser-known cinematic soundscapes by famous composers, with writer/filmmaker David Chien. (Artists discussed include Ennio Morricone, Jerry Goldsmith, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Shirley Walker, and more.) This episode is brought to you by Charlie’s middle school band teacher.
