【内容简介】

收录老舍先生的长篇小说《骆驼祥子》《鼓书艺人》和《牛天赐传》：
《骆驼祥子》以北平（今北京）的一个人力车夫祥子的行踪为线索，以20世纪20年代末期的北京市民生活为背景，描写了祥子由人堕落为“兽”的坎坷、悲惨遭遇，向人们展示军阀混战、黑暗统治下的北京底层贫苦市民生活于痛苦深渊中的图景。
《鼓书艺人》讲述了大鼓书艺人方宝庆一家的苦难经历：宝庆胞兄宝森被日军炸死；女儿秀莲与进步作家孟良的婚事告吹后，又被张文糟蹋；嫁出去的女儿大凤也被抛弃。正应了那句话：“一辈子作艺，三辈子遭罪。”
《牛天赐传》讲述了一个叫牛天赐的儿童，在不正常的商人家庭和不适当的学校教育中，成为一个“废物”的过程。


【作者简介】

老舍

原名舒庆春，北京人。中国现代小说家、戏剧家文学家、京派文学领袖、杰出的语言大师。老舍一生勤勉写作，是文艺界当之无愧的的“劳动模范”，曾任中国文联副主席、中国作协副主席等职。被誉为“人民艺术家”。主要作品有：长篇小说《骆驼祥子》《四世同堂》《赵子曰》《猫城记》；中篇小说《月牙儿》《我这一辈子》；短篇小说集《赶集》《樱海集》《蛤藻集》；戏剧《茶馆》《龙须沟》等。
