On December 1, 1926, a young woman from Bennington College, located in the Green Mountains of Vermont, vanished without a trace. And while the search for Paula Welden may have gotten the most attention over the years, she was not the only person to disappear near Glastonbury Mountain and its scenic Long Trail. To this day, no trace of any of them has ever been found.Timestamps:Monologue: 00:00:00 - 00:21:10Discussion: 00:22:00 - 00:56:00Check out our updated website and sign up for our newsletter atAmericanHauntingsPodcast.comCheck out our merch atAmericanHauntingsClothing.comFollow us on Twitter @AmerHauntsPod, @TroyTaylor13, @CodyBeckSTLFollow us on Instagram @AmericanHauntingsPodcast, @TroyTaylorgram, @CodyBeckSTLSubscribe for more bonus content on ourPatreon pageThis episode was written by Troy TaylorProduced and edited by Cody BeckMusic for this season is performed by Packy Lundholm and you can find more about his music and upcoming shows onTwitter,Instagram,Bandcamp,Soundcloud,Facebook,YouTube, andPackyLundholm.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

In the spring of 1846, a wagon train of hopeful immigrants left Illinois, bound for California, but they had no idea what awaited them on the trail. Cursed by bad luck and mistakes, they took an untested route through mountains and deserts, only to be stranded in the Sierra Nevadas by heavy winter snowfalls. What followed was the horror of death, starvation, desperation, and cannibalism.Timestamps:Monologue: 00:00:00 - 00:57:06Discussion: 00:50:30 - 01:26:55Check out our updated website and sign up for our newsletter atAmericanHauntingsPodcast.comCheck out our merch atAmericanHauntingsClothing.comFollow us on Twitter @AmerHauntsPod, @TroyTaylor13, @CodyBeckSTLFollow us on Instagram @AmericanHauntingsPodcast, @TroyTaylorgram, @CodyBeckSTLSubscribe for more bonus content on ourPatreon pageThis episode was written by Troy TaylorProduced and edited by Cody BeckMusic for this season is performed by Packy Lundholm and you can find more about his music and upcoming shows onTwitter,Instagram,Bandcamp,Soundcloud,Facebook,YouTube, andPackyLundholm.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
In December 1907, three coal mine disasters took place, killing hundreds of men who dared to tear apart the earth in search of wealth. The deadly tragedies – and the ghosts who linger because of them – remain some of the most terrifying accidents to ever occur in American history and still haunt the Appalachian region to this day.Timestamps:Monologue: 00:00:00 - 00:50:00Discussion: 00:50:30 - 01:53:40Check out our updated website and sign up for our newsletter atAmericanHauntingsPodcast.comCheck out our merch atAmericanHauntingsClothing.comFollow us on Twitter @AmerHauntsPod, @TroyTaylor13, @CodyBeckSTLFollow us on Instagram @AmericanHauntingsPodcast, @TroyTaylorgram, @CodyBeckSTLSubscribe for more bonus content on ourPatreon pageThis episode was written by Troy TaylorProduced and edited by Cody BeckMusic for this season is performed by Packy Lundholm and you can find more about his music and upcoming shows onTwitter,Instagram,Bandcamp,Soundcloud,Facebook,YouTube, andPackyLundholm.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
What happened in the town of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, between 1890 and 1910? What caused the once pleasant and thriving small town to become a place of death, horror, and strangeness? The mines and lumber industries shut down at that time, leaving people without jobs and causing the banks and many businesses to fail. Illness spread, and people turned to alcohol for comfort. Bad weather devastated the local crops, and the cold, bleak winters caused starvation and anguish. Talk of witchcraft and devil worship circulated among the residents. During this terrible period, the seemingly doomed inhabitants of Black River Falls surrendered to suicide, murder, destruction, and depravity.Timestamps:Monologue: 00:00:00 - 00:23:00Discussion: 00:23:50 - 01:17:45Check out our updated website and sign up for our newsletter atAmericanHauntingsPodcast.comCheck out our merch atAmericanHauntingsClothing.comFollow us on Twitter @AmerHauntsPod, @TroyTaylor13, @CodyBeckSTLFollow us on Instagram @Ame...
In the wilds of northwestern Connecticut are the remains of a small village called Dudleytown. The homes of this once thriving community are long gone, but the land where the town once stood is far from empty. Amidst the forest and rocks are tales of ghosts, demons, unexplained mysteries, curses, and a rich history that dates back to the very beginnings of America.Timestamps:Monologue: 00:00:00 - 00:20:15Discussion: 00:21:00 - 01:15:39Check out our updated website and sign up for our newsletter atAmericanHauntingsPodcast.comCheck out our merch atAmericanHauntingsClothing.comFollow us on Twitter @AmerHauntsPod, @TroyTaylor13, @CodyBeckSTLFollow us on Instagram @AmericanHauntingsPodcast, @TroyTaylorgram, @CodyBeckSTLSubscribe for more bonus content on ourPatreon pageThis episode was written by Troy TaylorProduced and edited by Cody BeckMusic for this season is performed by Packy Lundholm and you can find more about his music and upcoming shows onTwitter,Instagram,Bandcamp,Soundcloud,F...
Religious zealots have been awaiting the appearance of the Antichrist on earth for centuries. There have been those who have actively sought him out and some who would do anything to destroy him – like a woman named Rhoda Wakeman, a prophet and religious leader of the nineteenth century. In fact, on the morning of December 24, 1855, Rhoda killed a man who was possessed by the Antichrist in New Haven, Connecticut. The man was a member of her sect, and he participated in his own execution… It is a story of murder, prophecy, religious mania, and a death-crazed belief that the end of the world was coming soon.Timestamps:Monologue: 00:00:00 - 00:53:20Discussion: 00:53:30 - 01:42:10Check out our updated website and sign up for our newsletter atAmericanHauntingsPodcast.comCheck out our merch atAmericanHauntingsClothing.comFollow us on Twitter @AmerHauntsPod, @TroyTaylor13, @CodyBeckSTLFollow us on Instagram @AmericanHauntingsPodcast, @TroyTaylorgram, @CodyBeckSTLSubscribe for more bonus ...
In the modern days of the 1920s, a pair of homicides that came to be known as the "Hex Murders" – and the subsequent hex scare that followed – marked a substantial turning point in American history, especially in the way that the public perceived the practice of folk magic – or what locals called "pow-wowing" – in the region.Timestamps:Monologue: 00:00:00 - 00:28:28Discussion: 00:28:29 - 01:16:03Sign up for our newsletter atAmericanHauntingsPodcast.comCheck out our merchAmericanHauntingsClothing.comFollow us on Twitter @AmerHauntsPod, @TroyTaylor13, @CodyBeckSTLFollow us on Instagram @AmericanHauntingsPodcast, @TroyTaylorgram, @CodyBeckSTLSubscribe for more bonus content on ourPatreon pageThis episode was written by Troy TaylorProduced and edited by Cody BeckMusic for this season is performed by Packy Lundholm and you can find more about his music and upcoming shows onTwitter,Instagram,Bandcamp,Soundcloud,Facebook,YouTube, andPackyLundholm.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redci...
