Meme Hieneman joins the show to discuss her career as a behavior analyst, which includes a long history with positive behavior support (PBS). Hieneman, originally certified in the 1980’s as an analyst, practiced in the field of behavior analysis until her passing. “Although she battled cancer for many years, she remained fully engaged, creating beautiful memories with her loved ones.” This episode was recorded on March 8, 2021. Applied behavior Analysis (ABA) is the problem-solving, scientific approach to challenges that are relevant to individuals, communities, and society. Likely the most well-known application of applied behavior analysis is its use with individuals with autism. However the umbrella of this behavioral science extends much broader.
