Documentaries. We all love them. They educate, manipulate and enlighten us to the world. A good documentary can get everyone talking, and on this podcast, bad documentaries can do that too. The Documenteers podcast features a guy named Bob Sham, and a revolving cast of enthusiasts, discussing a myriad of documentary topics. True crime, nature, sports, music, history, the classics and more. The hosts give heartfelt analysis that is never too serious. Sometimes real emotions actually occur. Documentaries tell the story of humanity, and on the Documenteers, we tackle the issues as well as the documentaries. Mostly it's dumb jokes though. Really dumb jokes. Hear the podcast everyone SHOULD be talking about. The best documentary themed podcast in the universe. The cool people are already talking about it. Like your dad. Don't you want to be cool like your dad? Keep on Doccin'®

Our final ever episode of the Documenteers and Bob couldn't have possibly made a worse choice. Bob promised Angela that they would be discussing a truly disturbing documentary and he wasn't lying. You can find it on YouTube and it's called "Chicken Hawk". It's by Adi Sideman and it's all about unrepentant pedophiles, NAMBLA members, who refuse to recognize their own manipulation and control and seek understanding in their quest to sexualize and prey upon children. it's fucked up and while it is absolutely disturbing, there is an objective educational value in observing a personality type that often operates in the shadows. This is our last episode (Great choice of documentary, Bob, you fucking weirdo) and we end it with a casual chat between Angela and Bob discussing the end of the show and their future. The non-pedo movie talk begins at 1:04:27 We also put a bow on the Sexbot saga and the ending may shock you. We meant it when we said the show wasn't coming back and you'll know why after you listen to the end of the episode. Here's a link to the documentary. It has an educational purpose, but if you have any doubts then don't bother. There's a lot of gross descriptions we skipped: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kECvAkg9FFg If you would like to contact Bob's ghost then email it at yourstrulybobsham@gmail.com or follow Bob's ghost's personal IG which is @yourstrulybobsham Bob's ghost also has a Twitter, but he mostly just talks about wrestling stuff under @CultureRotter. It's a real shitshow over there. Bob's Ghost is also building up Culture Rot from the ground up over at Twitch so interact with his ghost directly at Twitch under "TheCultureRot" and follow the Culture Rot YouTube to see where all the new ideas will eventually go. We're just getting started on these platforms. That's it! We thank everyone for all the kind words and support over the last several years. We will still be around online, so don't be strangers. This has been a fun time and we can't wait for whatever happens next. We deleted our previous finale episode when we brought the Documenteers back last Spring. At the end of that episode was an extended audio medley representative of the history of the podcast. Now that the Documenteers is ending again (for real this time) we decided to bring back that audio medley as it's own content drop. It was fun to make and we thank you for listening to the Documenteers and all the kind words and support. Our final episode (#150) should be available at the same time this drops. Hit up Bob personally at his email yourstrulybobsham@gmail.com or his personal IG over at yourstrulybobsham. Follow the evolution and growth of Culture Rot on Twitch under "TheCultureRot" and at the Culture Rot Youtube. We're just getting started over there. Thanks for everything. Keep on Doccin'

Angela and Bob spend the final Documenteers Shorties episode, appropriately, on Werner Herzog. Somebody from the Skateboarding culture magazine "Jenkem" interviewed Werner on skateboarding and while Werner has no real personal history with the sport, he can see the beauty in the endless trial and error. A charming interview underlined with what else but Russian Orthodox music. Also, "Jenkem" is apparently a drug that was done by street kids that is essentially huffing concentrated sewage. It may be overstated that the drug is an epidemic as it was disproven to really be an issue in the west. It's probably overstated in Zimbabwe too. Like when 20 people eat a dish detergent pod and people act like an entire generation are doing it. So long shorties. An important announcement regarding the future of the Documenteers.

Bob and Angela follow up on last week's discussion of "A" with Tatsuya Mori's follow-up film aptly called, "A2". The remaining members of Aum Shinrikyo continue to deal with the fallout of the arrest of their leader following the 1995 sarin gas attacks on the Tokyo subway. This film focuses on the ups and downs of Aum moving from neighborhood to neighborhood and encountering protesters who don't want them every step of the way. Some protestors get to know them in some areas and other protestors, including a group of Nationalists, want them banned completely. Aum Shinrikyo must accept changes and responsibility in a Japanese society whose reactionary flames they helped fuel. Bob and Angela continue their month of YouTuber Documentary shorties with one about a lesser know music festival disaster in 1972. It took some running around but Bob and Tom (not those assholes, different assholes) finally managed to hold a music festival on an Island known as "Bull Island" that is surrounded by the Wabash river. Unfortunately this island was not developed for anything, so when 250,000 people showed up shit went from bad to worse. Some structure burnings are justified. We discuss Bandsplaining's "Was Bull Island the Worst Music Festival of all Time?". Well...unlike Fyre, it actually happened. Sorta. Bob and Angela dig up a very rare Japanese documentary about a notorious cult that committed one of the worst attacks in modern Japanese history. Actually it's the aftermath of that attack, as we follow Aim Shinrikyo PR guy, Araki, as he attempts to hold the religious group together while their master is imprisoned and their properties are seized or destroyed. We're talking about the Tatsuya Mori 1998 documentary "A" and the below links are the only place that we know of where you can watch it with English subtitles. Hit the links up below and then hear us discuss a strange group amongst Japanese society. The original link we found of the film: https://youtu.be/-feFmwGx6h4 Our direct link version of the film only accessible here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dudntcii48k ----------------------------- If you appreciate the show, give us some stars and a nice review on Apple Podcasts. The shorties theme this month is "YouTuber Short Documentaries" and boy do they run the gamut of style and quality. First up, Bob and Japan hit up a YouTube vid on one of the most horrifying murders in Japanese history. Four kids kidnapped Junko Furuta and proceeded to torture her to death for 44 days. A brutal true crime story but how does it fare through the interpretation and execution of this YouTuber? We discussed "Junko Furuta: Japan's Most Infamous Muder" by the YouTuber, Savox. Hit it up and then hit us up. The YouTube doc: https://youtu.be/JbINohowXkw ---------------------------- If you appreciate the show, give us some stars and a nice review on Apple Podcasts. Bob and Eldridge get on the pitch and discuss a tragedy that might not be as known in the United States but is notorious amongst English football fans. We're discussing a critically mismanaged situation at the 1989 FA Cup in Sheffield that resulted in the crushing death of 96 people. Blame goes in every direction but those responsible. We're talking about the BBC and ESPN produced documentary "Hillsborough" by Daniel Gordon and boy is this doc thorough. More thorough than justice that's for sure. It's tragic but you know we yuck it up here in there. Kinda think we're pretty good at balancing that kind of thing. Anyway, here's the trailer: https://youtu.be/rE2rAhOSVS4 Oh, look!
