Caution, this one is almost certainly not for kids after the break, in the Coach Stevens portion. The guys first touch on science news news connecting personality and food choices, then discuss favorite videos, TV, and movies related to muscle sports. After the the break, there's an on-site recorded question-and-answer session on powerlifting and bodybuilding that Coach Stevens held in Montana. The usual warning about language likely holds here, as it was recorded with a live audience of lifters. Lastly, remember to watch the existing You Tube channel and www.IronRadio.org for ways to continue following Iron Radio as Phil and Mike modernize it and keep it going strong!

As the crew winds down the current, old version of IronRadio and prep for Dr. Lowery's imminent departure in August, they discuss news on various types of chrono-nutrition and how they've experimented with it. After the break, the guys discuss how they'd explain muscle and strength sports to a child. How would YOU do it? Also, please wait for next week to hear Phil's seminar in Montana! Lastly, remember to watch the existing You Tube channel and www.IronRadio.org for ways to continue following Iron Radio as Phil and Mike modernize it and keep it going strong!

After covering some news on the sunsetting of the old version of IronRadio and Dr. Lowery's absence after August 2021, the guys cover listener mail and talk about the pros and cons of Ma and Pa gyms. Do you prefer multiple outlets, plentiful funding and amenities, or a smaller team atmosphere? The intreprid trio also discuss online aspects of training. Come on in!

After the usual health science news, Dr. Nelson heads-up a chat with writer, editor, and trainer Andrew Heffernan. Everyone discusses health-fitness-nutrition journalism in the lay press. The talk ranges from click-bait to balancing business realities with evidence-based educational content. Warning - Phil is salty about this stuff, although Lonnie's sunshine-and-rainbows perspective provides some balance. Mike and Andrew, meanwhile, manage to keep the topic on the rails. Come on in!

In this mega-episode, the guys first cover science news on new carb-monitoring tech and how carbs affect aging. What does it all mean for lifters? After the mid-show break, Dr. Nelson interviews top bodybuilder Dr. Guillermo Escalante about what it takes to break into the pros. It's a long episode for those into extra content! Come on in!

Early episode coming down the tracks! This replaces, in advance, the coming weekend's usual episode. With Dr. Lowery hurtling across the Midwest on a train, Coach Stevens and Dr. Nelson offer question-and-answer sessions with topics ranging from training partners, to super-high-volume reps in the squat over 12-hour periods, to ways of programming and keeping track of recovery. Come on in!

After a fun discussion on the week's science news, ranging from personal trainers' appearance, to carbs in paleo diets, to food and mood, the guys share thoughts about how the progressive nature of lifting builds self-confidence. Lastly, mighty thanks to our strong supporters like Joel Tony, Kara, and the Steak-n-Hoagie shop. You are appreciated!

With Dr. Lowery working this weekend, the guys offer individual recordings because the show must go on! Dr. L shares science news on which music leads to the biggest bench, how sex affects response to ketogenic dieting, and whether fish oils can help your carb metabolism. Phil ranges from sandwich meats, to travel, to summer training, and Dr. Nelson does a great summary of the recent ISSN annual meeting. Come on in!

After covering listener mail and science news on recovering from tendon ruptures and on new compression shorts with sensors embedded, the guys revisit sleeping and napping, with new insights, suggestions, and evidence. Also, hearty thanks to Fred, Joel, Robert, and Thomas for their strong support. You are appreciated!

A technical glitch, combined with travel, leaves the guys offering some individual blurbs. Lonnie gives an update on how coffee may help nervous system recovery, Phil drops knowledge bombs during a Q-and-A, and Dr. Nelson gives actionable tips on physiologic flexibility. Come on in!
