Welcome to Pod Save The Queen - the award-winning royal podcast from the Daily Mirror. The royal family is finding its way in a new era on both sides of the Atlantic. Harry and Meghan's departure - and subsequent frank interview with Oprah Winfrey - and the loss of Prince Philip, the head of the family at 99 are two major challenges. Add to that Prince Andrew being sacked by the Queen and a changing of the guard to the younger generations, as future kings William and Charles, along with their wives Camilla and Kate, take on more of the Queen's duties and engagements - not to mention adapting how everything is done to cope with the pandemic - the royal family is in a time of change. There is joy too, as the Cambridges' children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis grow up both in and out of the public eye, and the Tindalls, Beatrice and Eugenie find their own ways. Expect behind the scenes details, fashion, travel, causes, politics and society, plus interviews with people who can provide a particular insight into your favourite royals, their work and their place in Britain today. “Lively discussions with a wide-ranging appeal. Refreshingly informal, totally unstuffy and a thoroughly modern take on all things royal. And it’s funny too.” - the Press Awards Judges, who named Pod Save The Queen Lifestyle Podcast of the Year. Your regular companions are host Zoe Forsey (zoejaye) and Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers (@rjmyers). The royals have been making the most of the UK heatwave this week - and there was a very exciting day out for Prince George! Zoe Forsey and Russell Myers sit down in their very, very hot living rooms to chat about the Queen’s most recent outing, which saw her hand the St George’s Cross to the entire NHS. Kate was back at Wimbledon in her role as Patron, and she took Prince William and Prince George along for the Men’s Final. Several of the royals attended a (sort of) royal wedding in Gloucestershire and we look ahead to Camilla’s 75th birthday this weekend.

It felt like a very summery week this week, with the royals making the most of the sunshine at a series of fun engagements. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were at Wimbledon while Prince Charles and Camilla are enjoying a three-day trip to Wales. We talk about Kate’s latest photography commission, snapping some beautiful photos of her mother-in-law for a very special edition of Country Life magazine. Meanwhile the Queen gave a group of dog walkers the shock of their lives when she casually drove past them in Sandringham and Princess Beatrice suffered a very embarrassing moment at Glastonbury.

The Sovereign Grant Report was published this week and after hours and hours of trawling through the facts and figures, Zoe Forsey and Russell Myers sit down to discuss the headline findings - including the £17million, or 17%, rise in royal spending from last year. There is also a cost breakdown of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s disastrous Caribbean tour and it’s revealed that Prince Charles’ helicopter trips cost a staggering £15,000 a time. We discuss the Palace’s decision not to publish any findings from the investigation into bullying claims against Meghan Markle, the Queen’s Holyrood Week outings and Prince Charles’s £2.6million of charity cash stuffed in carrier bags. Russell fills us in on his trip to Rwanda with Charles and Camilla and we discuss Meghan’s comments on the Roe V Wade ruling.

Andrew Morton is perhaps the most famous royal biographer of all time, with his book Diana: In Her Own Words changing the way the world looked at The Firm forever. This week he sits down with Zoe Forsey to talk about his latest book, The Queen, which celebrates the Monarch’s 70 years on the throne. He also shares his thoughts on the latest royal dramas, including what he believes Diana would have thought of Princes William and Harry’s fallout and the mistake the Duchess of Cambridge made when the Queen expressed her wish for Camilla to become Queen Consort.

Host Zoe Forsey catches up with Mirror photographer and friend of the podcast Ian Vogler to hear all about his most recent royal outings. Ian had some of the best seats in the house for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, standing right in front of Buckingham Palace for both of the historic balcony moments. He was also inside St Paul’s Cathedral for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s return, and explains the royal interactions he managed to spot. Ian was also in Windsor for this week’s Garter Day, which saw Camilla made a Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter.

After an extremely busy few weeks, a slightly poorly Zoe Forsey dials in from home to chat with Russell Myers and catch up on the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee - and what a celebration it was! Russell was out and about at all the exciting London events so he shares his behind the scenes insight into how things went down - including some VERY fancy food at the private royal Guildhall lunch and the historical balcony moment. We also chat about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s very limited appearances and the adorable new photo of Lilibet. And of course, there is a LOT of chat about the star of the show, Prince Louis!

As the Jubilee celebrations continue, we asked listeners and friend of the show to share their favourite memories of The Queen. Host Zoe Forsey and Producer Dan run through your stories and discover the secret ingredient for a royal cucumber sandwich.

Our Jubilee specials continue with a deep dive on the fashion of The Queen from across her 70-year reign. Host Zoe Forsey is once again joined by OK! Magazine's fashion stylist Scott Wells to look over the most memorable looks from the last seven decades.

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations have officially begun! Zoe Forsey and royal writer Jennifer Newton sit down to discuss today's Trooping of the Colour event, which was even more exciting than we had expected! The Queen beamed as she waved to tens of thousands of well-wishers gathered on the Mall, joined by Charles, Camilla and the Cambridges. However it was Prince Louis who stole the show, delighting fans with some incredible facial expressions. We also got a very quick glimpse of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as they watched the historic events from Horse Guards. We also catch up with Russell Myers who was in the middle of the action at Buckingham Palace.

It’s a bumper episode this week as Zoe Forsey and Russell Myers catch up after Prince Charles and Camilla’s Canada tour. We discuss the Queen’s visit to the Chelsea Flower Show and her delight at the Jubilee Celebration event at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. Meghan and Harry have also been out and about, sharing a kiss at a polo match and Prince William has carried out moving engagements. There’s also an update on Prince Andrew after Russell revealed he’s making daily visits to the Queen.
