We're almost at the end of our virtual true crime road trip. This week O'Dell revisits Washington state, while Erin sticks around Canada for a bit.O'Dell kicks things off with the strange disappearance of Deanne Hastings - a single mother with a history of mental illness who disappeared one night after running to the store. A series of near misses, and missed opportunities only ads to the frustration felt by her friends and family.Erin then dives into the craziness that is the Quebec Biker Wars that happened mostly in Quebec in the 1990s. She started out looking into the death of one man which opened a can of worms she wasn't expecting. This week we close out our virtual road trip stops in Canada, visiting Saskatchewan and the Yukon Territory.After a couple of updates on past cases (Brittanee Drexel and the trial of Steve Pankey), Erin covers the case of Alexandra Wiwcharuk, a young nurse from Saskatoon who was once serenaded by Johnny Cash, Alexandra went out for a walk one day and disappeared. Thirteen days later her body was found in a shallow grave. Her murder is still unsolved.O'Dell follows up with the unsolved murder of yet another indigenous woman. Angel Carlick was to meet up with friends to celebrate her high school graduation, and then disappeared. Several months later her body was found. On this episode our virtual true crime road trip stops have us in Honolulu and an Air Force base near Toronto.Erin kicks travels back to the mid-80's and covers the case of a serial killer in Hawaii, who strangled several women and left their bodies in rivers and lagoons. There are several theories, but no one has ever caught the Honolulu Strangler.O'Dell then covers the case of 12-year-old Lynne Harper who was last seen riding on a bike with her 14-year-old friend. Two days later, Lynne's body was found in the bushes on a nearby farm. The 14-year-old friend was convicted of her murder and sentenced to death, but years later would be exonerated. On this episode, O'Dell takes his virtual true crime road trip to Canada and Erin visits a classic case in New York.After a gassy introduction, and the welcome of a new Stabby Cool Kid, O'Dell travels to Nova Scotia where he covers the unsolved murder of Halifax teen, Jason MacCullough and then ends with one of Nova Scotia's infamous mysteries: Who was Jerome of Sandy Cove?After the break, Erin covers the case of the Alphabet Murders which rocked Rochester New York between 1971 and 1973. Several suspects have popped up over the years, but have not panned out. Today we close out our interview with Janie Avey, a young woman who in 2013 was befriended by a woman who served Janie and her boyfriend at a restaurant. The woman found Janie on Facebook and offered her a job. They became co-workers, and then for some reason that remains unclear - mortal enemies.Janie ended up on the receiving end of a lot of childish behavior and this led to her friends and future husband being catfished by this woman for months. The entire situation was a bewildering and scary ordeal for Janie, but what she didn't realize was the worst was yet to come. Maura was a nursing student who had gone for a drive. She hit a tree and was allegedly waiting for help, and then up and vanished.O'Dell then covers the unsolved murder of Nicole Parsons Bucki. Nicole was a single mother who was found dead and fully clothed in her bathtub hours before the first plane hit the World Trade Center.
