It’s Teacher Appreciation Week the first of May so I wanted to honor my favorite teacher. She’s my 2nd teacher, who to me was Miss Coy, and is now Dr. Lynn Coy-Ogan. It’s true that the most formative years in a child’s life are 0-6 and to have met her during this impressionable time was transformative for me. She was warm, kind, funny, encouraging, and treated us like autonomous human beings with opinions and ideas and has gone on to make an impact in her community and as a mother in numerous ways over the years.
