Picture it: You’re about to walk into a networking event and your palms get sweaty and a feeling of dread sweeps over you. You’re worried about 2 things simultaneously: The pressure to sell and find “leads” (I hate that word, btw), and concern that someone else is going to try and sell you things. What if (and believe me, this can feel like a huge “what if”), networking could actually be enjoyable. What if it could feel like a joy, something that you actually look forward to? If that sounds impossible, you’re going to love the conversation inside this episode. I got to chat with Colleen Biggs, who’s an Award-Winning pioneer of a woman who loves helping other women Lead Up in their lives and take bigger leaps in business. She recently turned 50, and oh boy does she love celebrating her life! We had a fun conversation about how to make networking more fun, and honestly, more meaningful. You’ve set a goal. You’re excited. You have all that ambition welling up inside of you. You set out to make it happen — and you get clobbered. If you’re alive, you’ve probably had that experience. That’s when the insecurities creep in. You immediately get upset with yourself. You find all the nooks and crannies within that tell you you’re not as great as you should be. If you’ve ever got frustrated and asked yourself, “Why do I keep doing this!?” recognize that in that moment, you’re being upset instead of getting back in the game. So, if you’ve set a goal and failed, I need you to forgive yourself. If you don’t, it keeps the issue in place. It keeps this idea that you shouldn’t take action in place, along with all those other lies, like “I suck.” If you’re ready to get back on track and set goals that will light you up, pop in those earphones, and let’s get to it! This week’s podcast guest is Megan Rempel. She’s a mom of 4, a Registered Nurse with a certificate in Women’s Hormonal Health, a health and wellness coach, and a cycle syncing expert. And today she shares exactly how she figured this out and studied it, so we can use the power of our cycles as a guide, instead of ignoring it. Using what she teaches can also help us stop self-sabotaging and get a lot more out of our day-to-day lives. I love how Megan shares the steps you can take right away to start understanding the signals our bodies are sending. And to be honest, she blew my mind when she said that the majority of our PMS symptoms are not normal, they’re actually calls of distress and requests for support from our bodies. Megan’s mission is to help women discover that life can be easier, as we tap into the magic that we’ve had inside us all along - our monthly cycle. Friend breakups don’t get enough attention, and the truth is, those breakups are very, very common among entrepreneurs. They’re a big deal. Who you hang out with matters, and if you’re looking at severing a relationship, there’s probably a really good reason for it. So, today, we’re going to dive into three reasons you might need to break up with a friend, support you in how to do it, and make sure you’re hanging out with some killer people. The conversations you’re having day to day shape the way you perceive the world, and this is important: Who you hang out with is YOUR choice. Pop in those earphones, and let’s get to it! Have you ever considered that values are behaviors and not ideas? As in, if you could behave in alignment with your values, what would be possible in your business? I have to tell you, I’d never thought about it like that before, unless you count the idea that “love is a verb” — which is something I’ve heard in my family since I was little. Outside of that, I’ve thought of values as nice little platitudes executives hang on their walls, or memes people create for social media. But today’s podcast guest, Jennifer Kem changed all of that. It all changed for her after a colleague was promoted over her while she was still working in corporate. She found herself in the elevator after making sacrifice after sacrifice, only to have a male colleague be promoted instead of her. Instead of whining or staying in a state of rage, Jennifer did something amazing: She asked a really important question … Tune in to find out what it was. Because it can truly change your life if you apply it. If you’d like to snag The Archetype Influence Mix Assessment that Jennifer offered during the episode, you can do that by going here: www.Confidently.me/girlfriend (Normally sold for $250, but free for The Game On Girlfriend audience with this link!) We’ve all been there … you’re just going along with your day, and you decide to check your numbers. “Wait, what? That’s it? I thought I was making money!” If that hasn’t happened to you, that’s amazing! Congrats. But if it has, you know the drop of the stomach, how you can start to feel like a failure … and then that damn imposter syndrome and self-doubt starts creeping in. So what the heck do you do when that happens? I mean, you own a business, so learning how to deal with numbers without wanting to crawl under a rock and cry is critical. After all, your business needs you to keep showing up, being consistent, and bringing in revenue. If you’ve ever had that moment when you just feel like you got punched in the gut by your numbers, it’s time to pop in those earphones. Let’s get to it. I’ll be honest: Figuring out how to “niche down” (a phrase I hate, by the way) is scary AF. It is. Listen, it’s scary when you first start running your business. You need cashflow, so the temptation to say yes to anything and everything is real. And honestly, it’s not the dumbest thing in the world to do, especially if you’re not sure what you really want to be doing day in and day out. This week’s guest is Hailey Rowe. She’s a marketing/sales coach and strategist for online coaches and service providers who want to gain more clients online consistently, grow their business to full time, and rock their sales without self-doubt. She shares her business, marketing, and mindset tips in her Health Coach Nation Podcast and in the Health Coach Nation Facebook Group (Facebook.com/groups/healthcoachnation). Well, this is an episode I never thought I’d be recording. And honestly, I'm scared to be doing it. I know you guys turn to me for business advice, sales training, and personal development. But you guys, we have to talk about this. It's just too important. And I understand if this makes you weary, or makes you question why I'm doing this, but I hope I’ve earned your trust to the point that you’ll just listen and explore what I'm sharing. As a woman who's made it my life’s work to “put more money in the hands of more women” I have to say something when I see policies, laws, or behavior that will make sure money is taken out of the hands of women. I have to do this episode because forcing women to have babies that they don't want to have is certainly one way to ensure women have less money in their hands. So, whether you and I see eye to eye on this specific issue or not, know you're welcome in my space. I’m here for all women who want to use their talents, experience, and expertise to make the world a better place. Learn more about your host by visiting www.sarahwalton.com
