24kGoldn first came on my radar with "Valetino" and I really dug his style. Hip hop with some R & B and pop thrown in. It was a great blend. Of course he blew up after "Mood" and the rest is history. We talked about what it's like to try to follow up that massive success. We talked about hip hop in general: His influences, where he's headed musically, even how Tyler The Creator has been a great blueprint for him. But we went beyond the normal hip hop interview. We got a chance to stretch out and hear about his charity work, which really blew me away. The fact that a rich, successful 20 year old is focused on uplifting the less fortunate is pretty rare.
