Tim, Jess, and Katie talk about a lot of diet-related issues, but they really focus on vegan and vegetarian diets. There are a lot of misconceptions about each, both positive and negative, and the three talk through the nuances of how each diet can work for runners. And for all the omnivores out there (like Tim & Jess), there’s a lot of great overall nutrition advice too! They discuss why Katie had been vegan for so long but is now “flexitarian,” where most vegans and vegetarians get their protein, and the importance of complete proteins, specific protein powders, leucine, and other key nutrients.
