About Aramis Aramis Donell Ayala received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law, and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. ​Aramis was sworn in as the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida on January 3, 2017. Prior to her election as State Attorney, she served as an Assistant State Attorney, an Assistant Public Defender, a Civil Litigator, Adjunct Professor of Law, and Legal Analyst. She now manages 4 offices an administrative team, nearly 150 attorneys, sworn police investigators, victim advocates and hundreds of support staff.
