Today, we have a program devoted to Dementia – many of you refer to this as Alzheimer’s Disease and our experts will help us with terminology and definitions. The Word on Medicine welcomes Drs. Angela Beckert and Cara O’Brien from the Department of Geriatrics at MCW, Sue Moser, a medical social worker at Froedtert Hospital who is very involved with Alzheimer’s Associations across the state and Dr. Kieran McAvoy who is both physician and caregiver for her mother with dementia. Kieran is also the Alzheimer’s Impact Movement State Champion. I know that many of you have friends or family members who are struggling with dementia – The Word on Medicine is here to help!
