Doc, Doc, Goose #2 Reloading Athletes (Return to Training)

Episode 2: Reloading Athletes (Return to Training)

It is well accepted that returning athlete to full training loads following any kind of break can come with an increased risk of injury or illness. The need to manage this effectively has come into sharp focus during the COVID-19 crisis. In May 2020 the AIS released a revision of its position statement on this topic, with Rod on of the key contributors to this work. In this episode Alice and Bill quiz Rod on the foundations of the position statement, what it may mean for coaches, support staff and athletes, and how it may be applied.
