Hey Wonderlings, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Today, I cover S1E16: The Sleepover, which aired on March 16, 2022. In this episode when Dean learns that Corey's dad, Coach Long, is in the doghouse, he struggles to keep this secret from his friend. I really enjoyed this episode. Turns out Cliff's (Corey's Dad) secret that he was keeping from his wife and Corey wasn't as horrible as I thought. I still wasn't happy that he asked Dean to keep a secret from Corey as it created a wedge between them. It was awesome that Corey won Student of the Week, this is a nice example of showing Dean he can't win at everything and it's important to congratulate the other person (especially if it's your best friend) and not be petty about it. Bill and Lillian get some alone time, which Dean will never understand why that's important, until he himself becomes a husband. Hampton is so adorable!
