Conversation with Lleah Smith about the project FUTURE SCHOOL developed with Year 3-6 students at the Kandos Public School as a creative re-imaging of the traditional classroom, followed by the experiences of 'home-schooling' during the Covid-19 lockdowns. FUTURE SCHOOL is a framework on how to work with young people so their voices and opinions are heard, valued, and incorporated into the decision making processes. It is a project that builds and develops young people’s confidence, questions the hierarchies of knowledge and the function of the school within the community. Conversation with Australian film director, Philippa Bateman about the feature length documentary 'Wash my Soul in the River's Flow' about the legendary concert Kura Tungar (Songs from the River), which premiered in 2004 and was a collaboration between Australian First Nations singer-songwriters Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter, and the 22-piece Australian Art Orchestra, headed by Paul Gabrowsky.
