This week I'm 80% happy for former casting director turned assistant director, Clare McGinley. Clare started out reviewing college plays whilst studying at U.C.D in Dublin to casting actors on T.V and film. To date she has worked on shows such as the R.T.E series 'Raw' and 'Love Hate' to 'Begin Again', starring Kiera Knightly, Mark Ruffalo and Adam Levine. She is currently assistant director to John Carney who directed 'Once' which starred Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. 'Once' won an Oscar for Best Original Song for 'Falling Slowly', something I am unlikely to do.Anyone interested in working behind the scenes in TV and film should have a listen to this here podcast.
