Bob Paisley OBE was an English professional football manager and player who played as a wing-half. He spent almost 50 years with Liverpool and is regarded, due to his achievements with the club, as one of the greatest British managers of all time. In 1974 after the FA Cup Final win and Bob was offered the job he initially refused it. Bob was not a great communicator according to a significant number of players, so much so that his team talks were faltering and littered with forgotten names.
