Our comfort zone is the thing that stops us doing hard things, and being happy sitting around and doing nothing, when we know we have tasks that need conquering. But do you have any idea how to expand your comfort zone, to make hard things seem easier? I've spent the best part of a decade and a half on my human optimisation practice, trying to upgrade and enhance myself as a human being. It hasn't always been easy, though one thing I can count on, is that real improvement comes from doing those things that aren't easy. Your comfort zone is like a muscle. The more you work that muscle, the stronger it gets, and the more that tasks that once seemed difficult, stressful, or anxiety-inducing, seem much easier than they once did. In this episode, I discuss some of my personal stories and challenges when it has come to overcoming things I'd once put in the "too hard" basket, that became easier with time and practice.
