Kristin Richardson Jordan is a published poet, activist and elected council member for Harlem’s District 9. She has been featured on a number of podcasts, including Mind Over Melanin, and has been a member of AALUSC (African Ancestral Lesbians United for Social Change), and the ANSWER coalition (Act Now To Stop War and End Racism). Kristin (KRJ) stems from a family who have had roots in Harlem for three generations. Kristin continues to serve her community by being an advocate for police accountability, affordable housing, healthcare and environmental justice. KRJ is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, and spends her time engaging in outreach, mutual aid and bi weekly task forces.
