If you don't know the name Ben Greenfield then you're probably new to the space of biohacking or just new to health and wellness in general. Ben is a true practitioner of fitness. He walks the talk in all aspects. During my personal journey, it has always been a quest to be strong and healthy. Over time as you get older and wiser you soon realise there is more to life than aesthetics. It reminds me of a book called The Second Mountain by David Brooks. You can feel "happy" but it's not until you feel "joy" that you become a more robust human. Happiness depends on your external circumstances but joy comes from within. Ben follows a list of practices to keep in peak physical fitness mentally, physically and spiritually. Daily rituals set him apart from your average human and this podcast teaches us what we can do to set us apart from the average human too. YouTube first launched in 2005 and Scott Herman discovered it in its infancy and decided to jump on board. It was something many people were still trying to understand and a few people in its time exploded in popularity. Scott is one of them. Scott takes us through his personal journey on why YouTube was an avenue to share his fitness tips and passion alongside other ventures he was pursuing. When you're over 7 foot its very difficult to go unnoticed. Oliver always stood out within a crowd and always stopped crowds as they marvelled at his towering height. As said on wikipedia Olivier Richter is a Dutch bodybuilder, actor, model, and the founder and CEO of Muscle Meat but one thing it fails to detail and that is how down to earth and cool he is. Olivier is 32 years old with a great prospect in the movie business as his visibility on the screen is starti...
The brain is a complex organism. We can't live without it but very few of us understand how it actually works or how to even take care of it. We are born with it and thrown a concoction of subjects which our educational system deems as important. From their we are expected to feel enchanted with the innate wisdom of piecing life together. We use the brain while we are consciously aware and at times when we are asleep. Its functionality never stops even if we are not deliberately focusing on solving problems. Understanding muscles, what exercises make them grow and the nutrition that keeps it healthy is much the same as how our brain functions. Kayla, is a certified brain health coach. Her mission is to help her clients and community achieve optimal health through science-backed and proven approaches. Today we discuss those practices for optimal brain health. Enjoy ! Fabulous discussion with Debs and Nargis about the benefits of cryotherapy. The truth is placing our body under extreme conditions is a form of hormesis. Hormetic stress is good. Chronic stress is not. When meeting Debs at the Arnold Festival I tried some localized cryotherapy for the first time. The feeling was exhilarating. In this podcast, we discuss the different kinds of cryo, the benefits, and the costs involved in treatment or purchasing your own unit for business or personal use. Zion Clark is the embodiment of drive and possibilities. It’s people like him who make you question “why am I complaining?” Zion was bought up in foster care for most of his life and has had many trials and tribulations growing up. Oh, and he has no legs. That's right he was born with a condition called Caudal Regression Syndrome which rendered him physically disabled. This perceived disadvantage didn't hold him back but in fact made him more driven to prove he doesn't need people to pitty him because he could gain on his own merit. Zion has become an international motivation through his social media presence and public speaking engagements. Check out his website link, book called UNMATCHED and documentary on Netflix called ZION. https://zionclark.com
We understand a lot about eating the right food to not only give us the right energy levels and provide good health but we eat well to heal our gut. We also understand that we are a product of the environment where we position ourselves. Another thing worth addressing is the biggest organ on our body. The skin. Unbeknownst to our daily thoughts, it absorbs what it comes into contact with including the constant use of sanitisers. That's a subject for another day. We can also use the skin to absorb many minerals which are why float tanks are very useful and popular. When we want to heal the muscles after intense training "digestibles" are good if it has liposomal delivery otherwise we may face the chance of hydrochloric acid standing at the gates. Stuart Crowther, former athlete and founder of Muscle Mend wanted to find something which could help reduce inflammation in the muscles from the constant years of intense training. Also knowing that as you age the chances also amplifies. Thi...
